So if falling out of love is possible how does that affect magic performed out of love? Does it remain as it was when first cast or does the Magic’s power increase/decrease based on how much the person loves the other? I believe it’s the Later. It’s very rare that the first person we fall in love with ends up being the person we spend the rest of our lives with. Now as we know human emotions fluctuate, they change and it is very possible to fall out of love with someone, it happens all the time. Meaning both men are protected by VERY POWERFUL love magic. Now the blood pact was created out of love and as we know from canon there’s nothing more powerful than love. First up let’s look at the important details.ĭetail #1: Dumbledore and Grindelwald duel in 1945 with Dumbledore winning.ĭetail #2: According to Dumbledore the most powerful magic is love.ĭetail #3: They formed the bloodpact in their youth when they (Dumbledore at the very least) were very much in love.ĭetail #4: The blood pact cannot be destroyed (that we know of)ĭetail #5: The blood pact prevents Dumbledore and Grindelwald from killing eachother.
